In writing procedure essays the 2 essential things to remember are:

1) We need to use the imperative form, do this, do that, don't do this,. Sometimes we were given flow charts with the -ing form and we had to remember to change this.

2) We need to use linking words, like: first, secondly, then, next, after that, finally.

We always divided these essays into 3 paragraphs: introduction (20-30 words), main paragraph (90-100 words) and conclusion (20-30 words) in total: 150-160 words.

Reflection 4

Compare & contrast essays consist of:

1 -In the introduction there are two things you are going to do, compare (similarities) & contrast (differences).

2- In the first paragraph you will discuss similarities and you can write like this ... another similarity is ... yet another similarity is ... There should be at least 3 or 4 similarities.

3- In the second paragraph you need to discuss differences. Again there should be at least 3 or 4.

How olive oil is made

Producing olive oil is a long and difficult process but if you follow the steps clearly you should end that process with good quality oil.

First, between September and December, the olives are harvested by hand or with sticks and rakes. After that they are collected on nets beneath the trees. Then, leaves and small stones are removed and the olives are run through a washer to remove any impurities before crushing. After that, within 24-36 hours of picking, the olives are crushed by granite millstones. The olive paste obtained is layered on mats which are put under pressure from a screw or hydraulic press. The liquid produced is collected and put through a centrifugal separator to separate the water and impurities from the oil. At the end, after centrifugation, the oil is obtained.

At the end if you want olive oil to be a superior oil you must follow these steps, Less acidic olive oil means better oil .

KSA and UAE

In this essay I am going to compare and contrast two countries, KSA and the UAE.

Firstly, let us talk about the similarities. Both are Islamic countries and both have hereditary monarchies. In addition, both countries are very rich because of large-scale natural resources of oil and gas. Furthermore, both countries have national airlines, modern airports and they have in the same location in the Middle East.
There are, however, a number of differences. First the UAE is more open in customs in KSA they are tough in customs. Another difference in the UAE has more modern cities like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah in KSA they have one city Riyadh . Another difference is the currency, dirhams in the UAE and reyals in KSA. Furthermore, KSA has mecca the greatest area for Muslims butthe UAE doesn’t. Education is better in the UAE the than KSA. A final difference is petrol; petrol in KSA is not clean like UAE petrol.

I've visited both countries and both are safe, pleasant places to live and raise families in the UAE is more comfortable and I like it more than KSA, but both are good locations for a holiday.

robber in our house

My story started about a week ago. I was heading to bed early, because I was tired from a long day with plans to wake up a few hours before class to review for a test. As I closed my books for the evening and headed to bed around midnight, little did I know something was going on outside.
Before midnight someone entered my fathers garage, which was so conveniently unlocked. They first rummaged through my dad’s van outside and I think they stole his mobile, a watch and a few carrots. They also sifted through my mom’s car looking for something to steal, only to find a few old tapes. When they got into my car however, they decided to take most of what I had. They stole my navigation system, taking my CD player. They also took most of my CD collection and stole my new baseball cup. They even took my flashlight. They then disappeared as quickly as they had come.

I told my father and my mother about this then my parents talked to police. Maybe after one hour the police arrested that robber. At the end that robber was our neighbor.

First, the fruit is unloaded from trucks. Then the oranges are graded, washed and sized. After that, the juice is extracted and the residual material is sent for use as animal feed. The next step is very important. The juice is evaporated at a high temperature over a short time, producing concentrate. The concentrate is then stored in refrigerated units. Then the juice is canned and shipped overseas to its destination. In the country where it will be sold, water is added to the concentrate. Finally, the orange juice is bottled and sent to supermarkets, where it is sold to the consumer.

As you can see, producing orange juice is little hard and complicated , and we hope that produce to be more easier .

In the UAE there are many traditional foods and one of these foods is machbous. there are many ways to prepare it. I will show you how to do it.

First you buy meat, vegetables, spices, rice, tomatoes, salt and dried lemon. Then boil the meat in the water. After that cut and prepare vegetables. Then remove the fat from the boiling water. After that, add salt and spices to the meat until tender. Then take out the meat and add the rice. After that return the meat to the rice. Then cook for 30-40 min until ready. Then serve and have a good lunch.

As you can see making machbous is not hard. You just need to follow these steps and you will get a good result.

Puncher on vacation

My friends and Iwent to the city of Al Ain to take a vacation at the end of the week . We took a rest in the gas station and then we continued driving and suddenly we heard an explosion and then the car started vibrating. We got out of the car and we had a tire puncture, and we were very sad because our trip was disturbed. But we began trying to repair the tire of the car but did not succeed because it was the first time for us. Fortunately, someone drove his car beside us and he had a full kit for repairing tires He saved us and we thanked him and he was gone. After that we restarted driving after 50 kilometers another tire was punctured but now we knew how to fix this problem and in just 30 mins we fixed the tire and we didn't have time to complete our journey and we decided to return to Abu Dhabi but we were still happy because we knew a new thing like how we can fix the tire puncture and I returned to our favorite place Souq Albldyh and this is the end of the story.

When the last year holiday was approaching everybody was looking for places to enjoy in their holiday. But the majority was afraid of the difficulty of travel reservation. So I will talk about the steps that make travel booking easier.

First, you must arrange your credit card and make sure of your passport. Second, you must choose your destination. Third, set the required equipment for the journey from clothing, food and money. Fourth, make sure you book the hotel and a place to stay before going to the airport and make sure that the hotel has rooms that are vacant for the family and at the right price. In the last step you must prepare a transport mean to reach the airport on time.

In conclusion, I expect that the morals and sense of humor are able to make your holiday enjoyable and interesting. And always think that, change is always accompanied by pleasure and suspense. I wish you a happy holiday.

how to make butter

Making butter is a long procedure and you need to follow a lot of steps very carefully. If you carry out the following procedure you should produce high – quality butter.

Firstly, check the fresh milk for quality and fat content. Then leave the milk to cool. After that separate the cream and be careful when you do that. Then churn the cream and after that drain the butter milk from the butter. After that you place the butter in a jar to keep it safe from dust. Then wash the butter with cold water to remove remaining butter milk .After that add a small amount of salt for flavor then cut and wrap the butter and store it in a fridge.

As we can see that procedure looks easy but if you want good butter you need to follow that method step by step and you have to be ready for everything to get the best butter.
